OSTEOPATHIC MANIPULATIVE TRAINING (OMT) TRACK

Are you an Osteopathic physician who is interested in keeping up your manual skills and integrating osteopathic manipulative treatments into patient management?  If so, our OMT Track offers you a high-quality training experience specifically for those purposes. Participation in the OMT Track is open to Osteopathic physicians only.

The OMT track will consist of both clinical and didactic educational experiences.  A faculty member who is a Board-certified Family Medicine Doctor of Osteopathy is regularly available in our outpatient clinic to identify and assist with patients who may need manipulative treatment to augment their care.  In addition, quarterly evening didactic sessions are held to enhance your medical knowledge and technical skills in OMT.

These are the requirements of participants in the OMT Track:

  • Provide outpatient clinic patients with the treatment option of  OMT techniques, when indicated

  • One scholarly activity during residency on an OMT topic

  • Attend quarterly evening educational sessions

Certificate:

Upon completion of the OMT track requirements and graduation from the residency, you will receive a certificate documenting your successful participation in the Osteopathic Manipulative Training Track.
